Status is still "Under Review". I am an international student. This does not look good. Any kind of closure would be great at this point.

To the post below: Thank you for your information. What is the deadline to reply when you receive their funding decision? Roughly how many applicants did you observe in your campus visit?

Funding is not determined. The email says: "you are one of a small number of admitted applicants who are on a waiting list for assistantships. There is no guarantee that we will be able to offer you financial assistance of any kind." 2a/1w.

no email. Check "my ASU" myself, and the status is "We regret we were unable to admit you"

Email to check website. WTF, UCLA? Why, if you were going to reject me, did it take you this long? Que bestia!

Could you please get give me some suggestions to choose between these two?

what's wrong with their admission process? maybe they are just too lazy...i started to doubt whether it is really a good program or not.

Thanks to the poster below for your info. I talked to Andrew Learner, the administrative/graduate admissions officer and he told me that, if granted any financial aid, we should hear back by around April 8, 2016. Given what you said that colleges normally match awards with the department, I'm thinking that the funding opportunities are pretty set after April 8 (unless people who have already been funded decide not to enroll, which is very unlikely). Sadly, I haven't heard a single word. This is getting way too real :(

To all those admitted W/O funding, what are you doing ? Do they really start giving funding 2nd year onward ( condition to passing 1st yr) and does the result have to exceptional or passing is enough ? should i consider it if I am not getting anywhere else (which I am not) eventhough I can't afford it ?

Well this was my backup school, how ironic! Much better offers anyways :)
