Received an email that I had been accepted, My undergraduate GPA was 3.9 and my Masters degree was done at Wayne State University and my GPA was 4.0.

Was on waitlist for a bit then got rejected. They have offered admission for their master's program but won't take it unless it's fully funded.

I asked by myself, did not receive an email, and the application still shows pending on the portal.

Well, in all likelihood getting rejected by an institution named after someone who gleefully enslaved my people in a department overwhelmingly white is probably for the best.
