To the "Applied Data Science" poster below -- they gave you an option to defer to the next Fall?? Wtf, I got into CS (DS) on July 2nd after being waitlisted, and the only options I have are in-person or online Fall 20. I even confirmed this by dropping them a mail and they replied that yeah I have just 2 options.

TTPB - What do you mean "won't reopen for the Fall"?

To all international students who have received admits to USC AFTER being waitlisted, regardless of your program -- CS, EE, whatever -- you CANNOT defer to Fall 21 or Spring 21. The only option you have is to choose between Fall 20 in-person or online. And know this, they did this to fill Fall 20 seats as most Fall 20 admits have deferred to next year. Yes they dealt absolutely shitty, and fucking selfish cards, but that shows who they are. I hope you have learnt your lesson, and not apply here next year. They don't deserve another chance, and certainly not your money. Fuck you USC. All of my respect for this "great college" has turned to ashes.

TTPB, check out viterbigradadmission.usc.edu/newly-admitted/admitted/. Turns out we can defer to next year too, but I'm still waiting for official communication from them

Finally. Fucking finally, after waiting for 218 days I can get closure. They said that I\'m academically eligible to get in, they\'ll send the official admit letter by July 15 when I demonstrate proof of ability to pay tuition and living expenses. The mail also says I gotta pay $500 as commitment deposit by July 31 if I choose the offer. I didn\'t visit the USC Graduate websites for info, but the mail I got says I got 2 options — Fall 2020 in-person, or Fall 2020 online followed by Spring in-person. On visiting their "Newly Admitted" website however, I see there are 4 options -- one can even defer to Fall \'21.\r\n\r\nI\'ll probably reject the offer, it\'s way too costly -- living expenses, and everything else included. I already have 2 just as good offers (with scholarship). \r\nTo those reading — if you\'re accepted, good for you, really. If you were rejected after all this wait, you have me on your side too. USC will always be \"Uni of Stupid Cunts\" or \"Uni of Spoilt Children\" for me.\r\nCheers.

Received an email just now saying I have been placed on a waitlist and will be notified about my admission decision by July 1st. People who plan on not attending USC please officially reject your offers!

TTPB: My application status is pending as well. From the general trend on gradcafe it seems that the status of Data Science specialization is pending. I have written to USC as well. But, I did not get a reply.

TTPB: Yep, still waiting..Idk how much more time do they need, it's been 5 and a half months. I can feel my bones fossilizing already.

I was shattered.... After 4 months of wait I finally got a reject. I wonder what made them wait so long. I had a really strong profile except my verbal scores. It really sucks...it was my dream university. 2020 really sucks... :(

Haven't received a decision yet, and logged on today to see that a new batch of offers for spring were issued to others. Feels bad man.

Congratulations to those who got the spring admit! Just wanted to know how you guys got the notification. Did you receive a waitlisting email prior to getting your admit? Also would like to know your credentials.

I got selected for Spring 2021, although I applied for 2020. Anyone else out there who faced this? How many of you are going in 2020?

TTPB: Same here, been waiting since December and not a single update. If anyone has emailed them, please let us know what they say about decisions that haven't yet been released.

Is anyone still waiting for their decisions from USC? I submitted my application in November. I have not received a response till now. Should I consider it a rejection? Has anyone emailed them about pending decisions?

Got the e-mail notification just after midnight. Applied on 1/15, so about 3 months from submission.
