I wrote to Rutgers to get information about my application process. They told me that they sent all letters to both accepted and waitlisted students. They said that if I have not received a rejection letter, it could be possible to be accepted or waitlisted, but any new information will be only available on April 15th. In other words, I've been rejected. IR subfield. 2A/5R/2P

GPA is grad. Hate to be this guy but if anyone has options that they prefer over WashU please let the admissions committee know ASAP so people can move off the waitlist.

Canadian. Surprised I got in as I have little research experience. Vancouver is too expensive right now, so probably going to have to decline

As expected, because I have already seen classmates sharing the offers they received in the first round, and the results that were supposed to be announced by March 15th have been delayed, this situation is similar to what happened with UT (where I was later rejected). Throughout this journey, I realized that applying for Master of Arts programs in Canada is quite challenging for undergraduate students from mainland China. The main reasons are the limited quota for international students and the high standards for cultivating prospective doctoral students (similar to the MPhil programs in Hong Kong schools). Compared to the outright rejection from McGill's Thesis program, being placed on the waitlist by UT and UBC is itself an encouragement. Thank you, UBC, for being so supportive!

Notified of waitlist on 2/16/24, first time posting about it here. Really hoping some of us can get off the waitlist-- I know this is a dream program for a lot of folks (and is my only non-rejection).

My undergraduate degree wasn't related so I'm not too surprised, a little disappointed. I hope my other application goes well!

If you were accepted but do not plan to attend, please inform them as soon as possible. If you were also waitlisted and will be unlikely to attend, please notify them so that they can remove you from the waitlist. Saw ppl saying they got rejected by Syracuse, wonder if Syracuse has sent out all rejection letters. I may drop my offer btw, just wondering if Syracuse has sent out all rejections.
