Congratulations! Based on your application materials, we have identified you as an outstanding candidate for Penn's Bioengineering Ph.D. program. Our Bioengineering Ph.D. program is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the nation, being consistently ranked among the top 10 programs in the country. We believe you have the same potential to excel as our past graduates. ECE Undergrad at Ivy. No Publications but extensive research. Previous military experience. Our Ph.D. graduates have succeeded in a broad variety of careers, including starting their own companies, working in the biotechnology industry, and research and teaching at Cleading universities. We believe our program provides both the foundation and exposure to provide you with the tools you need to achieve your goals, and so we invite you to interview with Penn faculty and meet our Graduate Students to learn more about our graduate program. We only extend this invitation to the very best students in our applicant pool, and your visit is the first step toward offering you financial support for Ph.D. studies at Penn. During your visit, you will meet with potential Ph.D. thesis advisors whose research programs are aligned with your interests and experience. We will also arrange for lab tours when possible and give you the opportunity to talk with current graduate students. We would like you to interview during one of our scheduled recruitment visit days (Feb 13-15, Feb 20-22, March 6-8). If you are living abroad, we are offering a virtual option on Feb.28th) Each visit program has a limited number of slots available for scheduling. Your first step in reserving a slot is to complete and submit the registration form found here by February 7th: BE PHD Visit registration form Please fill in all required fields. The form includes a list of Bioengineering Graduate Group faculty who are participating in this year’s recruiting interviews. Please review and select the faculty and research area(s) that interest you. Separately, faculty have requested to meet with you. We will use this information to plan a customized itinerary for you. A sample itinerary for the visit is below: Thursday 4:30pm -5:30pm -Welcome 5:30pm - Happy Hour with faculty and Grad Students 7:30pm - 9pm - Dinner with Grad Students Friday 8:00am - breakfast and overview 9am-12pm - Interviews/lab tours 12pm -1:45pm - Lunch break 2pm-5pm - Interviews/lab tours 5pm - Closing session 6:30pm - Museum or other activity with current graduate students Saturday 11:30am - Brunch and Apartment tour After submitting your registration, you will receive an email from our recruitment team confirming the dates of your interviews and instructions to make arrangements.
