Did any one get interview from comparative literature? Anxious to know......

Already was accepted into my top schools, so not bummed. Was not a good fit with faculty. Had to at least give Princeton a shot. Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

"Unfortunately, because of the large number of well-qualified applicants and the small number of program openings, it is not possible to offer you admission at this time. However, in the coming weeks that may change. We have placed your name on a waiting list..."

well, it was ill-fit. Generic rejection email.

"Yield and protect," I guess.

E-mail from grad school dean. Expected, as research fit was not good at all.

Second rejection. Good fit of the program. POI says decision is made by committee. He can do nothing. I know that was kind of rejection...

2 years of research. 1 international conf. paper and 1 journal paper. 117/120 toefl score

Really thought POI was interested. Oh well. Good luck to everyone else!

Standard rejection letter. Expected, no regret.

Official rejection. A little bummed about this one, especially since my POI skyped me in December and said very promising things (as in wanted me but had to check with the department first) and then just never got back to me after. Meh.

0a/0w/3r. Got "No's" from Stanfrord GSB, Princeton & Wharton. Still waiting to hear from HBS, HKS, Caltech, UCLA, UCSD, MIT, Stanford, Chicago, Booth, CMU, Cornell and Ford.

To my fellow EE applicants who did not get a letter and are wondering where they stand, I ended up speaking to a POI and learned that all first round offers indeed went out already. The rest of us were not first choices, though we are possibly on an implicit waiting list.
