Frustrated. Congrats to all who got admitted!

To the note below that says MIT explicitly says no MIT undergrad, may I ask where you saw this? However, I do know one MIT undergrad who was accepted...

In case this helps anyone understand what MIT might be looking for in applicants, my portfolio site is www.davidagriggs.com. Can't be sure they even looked at it for more than 5 seconds, but maybe it was a big factor in getting into SMME? Good luck everyone!

Expected but still sad though. First official rejection so far.

Indeed my top choice. A little bit disappointed but I keep being optimistic for other programs I have applied.

One good paper in a top conference in my field of interest. Had talked to the PI I'm interested in working with and [s]he had already encouraged me to apply.

I am the poster who was worried about not having received an interview: I asked the co-director if I can assume that I have been rejected if I have not received an interview. The following day, he offered me a 20-minutes-interview with him and Prof Hart (which actually lasted about half an hour). Pretty weird... I cannot imagine what happened. Isn‘t the interview time a bit too low (I heard from other applicants in the past that theirs lasted 1 hour).

To the poster bellow that received an interview invitation: Congratulations! Are you an international applicant?

I had hopes but no issues. Three rejects so far and hopefully more to come but giving up ain't my ally :)
