Graduate School Admission Results

No GRE. Five years of professional work experience (~2-3 directly related). No word on funding until 'early April.'

I found out March 11th 2024 at 12:41pm PST :) I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA, majoring in International Development Studies and minoring in Film, Television, and Digital Media.

Domestic student accepted with 14.4k of funding. Good work and extracurricular experience but lack of research. Honestly very surprised to be accepted.

If someone gets offers from UGA, and has a dominating offer, could you please make a decision soon? UGA is my last hope, thanks you!

This was a long shot for me anyway, the PI I spoke to said they were no longer going to take a student and I did not have meetings with the other PIs I applied to. I have another offer anyway, congrats to everyone who got in!

Got an email at 2 pm EST. "Thank you for your application to the Interdisciplinary Master's Program in Environmental Studies (ENVS) at the University of Oregon. I am very sorry to inform you that we are unable to recommend you for admission Fall 2024. A committee comprised of Environmental Studies faculty, in consultation with focal department faculty across campus, carefully reviewed all applications. Because the ENVS program is small and functions through a unique collaboration between Environmental Studies and other UO departments, it is highly selective, with a great deal of competition for each available place. We thus find ourselves unable to admit many of the highly qualified students who apply. This year we had a larger than average pool of very competitive applications."

Rejection from PhD and acceptance to MA

I give up trying to switch fields from humanities to environmental studies/sciences. It is not my fate.
