Graduate School Admission Results

To the poster below, I got the email "Thank you for applying to our graduate program in EECS at MIT..." as well. Seems everyone that applied got one.

Is anyone still waiting on a decision? I've accepted another offer, but would like to know if MIT accepted or rejected me..

Accepted via email with an advisors given. Funding offered in the form of a fellowship.

Well, whole system is corrupt to start with. Gamble and move on. Relieved of the social expectations for an "MIT graduate" to "make an impact and change the world".

They said in the letter they received over 2000 applications this year, so they will not conduct post-interview evaluation due to the limited staff. Instead, they asked you to do a video statement during the application.

Invited to the visit day for interview, on March 8

It hurts, but life needs to move on.

To the poster below: Did your informal acceptance email provide any other details, such as the entering cohort size, admission rate, etc? Looks like I have been rejected since nothing is in my mail box.

The interview was fine. Basically my POI along with a couple of other faculty from the group. I really hope I get in. MIT is my dream school, and my girlfriend goes there too. Fingers crossed!
