TTPB: Well it is normal. According to older threads on internet, they upload this late every year. The actual result will appear within a day. Both rejection and admission. Technicslly they didnt lie as they said 'after' 5PM, but is is awakard indeed...

I'm the poster with decision-by-end-of-day email. My status said "Dept. Decision Made". Just found it on website: Congratulations! On behalf of the program faculty I am delighted to offer you admission with financial assistance to the Ph.D. in Computer Science program homed in the School of Computational Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology for Fall 2020. Admission to the program is extremely competitive. I sincerely hope you will accept our offer to join us. Please respond as soon as possible, but no later than April 15th.

Prof said that they were making GRA offers now and the earlier fellowship offers were already made. Said I'll get to know of his decision in couple of days

Yep, waitlisted. I was hoping for some information before March because I have a pending accept from Stony Brook. Also waiting from UPenna and UCSB

4 years of experience as a data scientist. They didn't send an email notification, checked the portal and found I was rejected. Generic rejection email saying rejected because of high competition and I try their online masters instead.

Placed in a non-ranked waitlist. "May be" contacted by any member of the MSE faculty. May receive decision after 15 April

Placed in unranked wait-list.

Where are those insiders we get to see on CMU / UIUC forums? Could anyone here find out whats going on in GATech's admission office?

TTPB: The grad tableau may not update the latest info. I have seen many offers send out which are definitely much more than the number shown there. They may already send out most of offers.

On their graduate admission tableau the number of admitted PhD in CS is well below 10. It's almost March and it's hard to understand that they barely started admission? A lot of schools are having visit days at the beginning of March. The number of posts I saw here is also quite low but what is actually going on on their side?

TTPB: I think that is probably the case. By this time last year, almost all of the acceptances had gone out.

TTPB: It could be that the representation of GTech students on gradcafe is very small this year.

Something seems odd this season. Very few people have heard, but their visit day is next week! Anyone know what's going on?

Congratulations! The Analytics admissions committee has met, and I am pleased to report that you have been accepted into Georgia Tech's interdisciplinary Master of Science in Analytics degree beginning in Fall 2020. We had more than 1000 applicants, so admissions was a very competitive process. We look forward to you joining our program! Shocked to say the least. Very grateful as I come from an arts background and GPA was not good. Maybe GRE made up for it. Very happy regardless.

TTPB: I got the cs phd offer of gatech but I'm not in ML/AL/NLP area. And my friend has got the offer of ML area. Hope this can help you.

If anyone (or heard of anyone who) has received an offer in area of ML/AI/NLP, could you please kindly share your good news? Just wondering if admits have been sent out or not by GaTech, so that I can decide on my final destinations. Thanks in advance!
