Rejected LTI

8.32/10, three publications

TTPB: Just to clear your point that you aren't the only applicant - MCDS Applicants last Fall: ~1500, MSML Applicants last Fall: ~1200, MLT Applicants last Fall: ~750.

Has anyone applied to MS ML or am I the only applicant? Everyone keeps talking of LTI CV etc.

To those who got into CMU RI MSR congress! I was wondering whether anybody got funding offers along with their acceptance emails? I remember reading from somewhere that the acceptance offers can be updated until March 31st with funding offers but wanted to know if anyone has received this already

got accepted in fall 2020. got an updated admission letter for fall 2021 on 4th Feb. Needed to submit a deposit of $500 too. 16th Feb is the last date to accept the open house invitation so results should be out before that for everyone. not sure if there is any change in how many admits are going to be this year.

Will CMU give out results this week or not? I feel like they are not going to give many admits. All this wait for nothing :(

MSCV. My friend surves as program committee in MSCV at CMU. This year we only admit less than 20 people because too many students defer their registration last year. Also, you need to rank less than 50 among all of the applicants to get a chance into the waitlist. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Does anyone know when HCII results go out?

CMU Profs are really thinking whom to reject and whom to accept. For example, if they accept all the top students (who have offers from MIT, Stanford, UW) then almost none will enrol. But they also don't want to give admit to average-good students because why? No one wants a good student and they are CMU so they want only the BEST. Fun fact: LTI doesn't have a waiting list. So if only 20 students enrolled in the program out of 70 offered, they don't fucking care LOL.

Why the heck they are taking sooooo long? Grad admissions are just fun for departments and annual circus for profs. I give up!!!!!

TTBP: CMU LTI results should be out this week. If not I would like to reject the college from my side.

Does anyone know if all MIIS and MLT admits have been sent, or it will be sent in batches.

TTPB: Can any of the MSCV admits post the content in their admit email? Want to know if the admits were real or fake and if there is any info on the total applicants and number of admits.

TTBP: CMU MSCV admits are not fake. I received the acceptance letter (email with attached pdf) this morning.

Received acceptance around 10AM PST. Large state CS undergrad, two 2nd-author publications in 1st-tier conferences in CV and Robotics.

Decision came out around 1 pm. Good luck everyone!
