2 summer research internships, 1 full-year work experience with a big aerospace company. From a world top 20 university. No publication, but great recommendation letters.

Got an email to interview in person or over the phone

no surprise. Will be attending Cornell

3 publications, 1 first author. 2 years research in materials lab, 1 year research in biochemistry lab. 1 year Organic Lab TA, 1 year Head Organic Lab TA

For those admitted, is anyone in Control area or LIDS in general ?

Sent an email to ask. They replied " At this time, all interview invitations have been sent out. If you haven’t received an invitation to interview at this stage, it’s unlikely you will be admitted to the program. Applicants will be notified with final decisions when the review process concludes in April." this clear enough to reject me.

To the poster below, the admits were released on 4th Feb last year.

I was hopeful but this isn't unexpected. Glad they let us know the same day as acceptances. Still super pumped from Yale earlier today! 1a/1r/1ir/0w/6p

To the two MIT CMS acceptances: who did you receive your notifications from? Do you mind sharing any info on your lab preferences/background?

TTPB: MIT Ph.D. Admit, did you have a video or audio interview?

Is their structural group relatively small?
