Notified me that they had decided not to make me an offer for their lab, largely due to bureaucratic/funding reasons (lack of current grants, lack of department funding for international students). Kindly worded notification. Disappointed, as this was probably my top program choice, but their rationale for exclusion made sense (time spent funding myself would detract from time spent developing self as a scholar) |
