Rejected for PPD program today. This is odd as I've been accepted and fully funded to some US PhD programs (ranked in 20's) -- I'm pretty convinced that the admission process is super-randomized. With the committees claiming that standards are the same, it wouldn't make sense for me to be rejected in a good number of lower-ranked schools I applied to rather than the ones I got accepted in -- noting that my sample size is reasonably large (I applied to 26 schools). Anyways, this might be my last post here as I'm going to accept one PhD offer and reject the rest today. Good luck to y'all!

I was rejected in the first round and will be considered again in the second round. They are going to publish the results of the second round by the end of April. Does anybody have an idea of getting selected in the second round?

TBP: I see your point, but especially if you are European concluding a 3-year Bachelor, be aware of the enormous difference between 1-year and 2-year Masters: namely, the fact that in 1-year Master you will ask LoRs to proffs. that know since basically 3 months, and cannot evaluate you fully (and then push you accordingly). This does not really apply if you already studied at UCL. In the other case, and especially if you want to apply to a PhD later, be aware of this. Hope this helps. Good luck

Happy about the acceptance, but unsure I will accept. The course becomes very expensive over 2 years, especially when considering living costs. Would have preferred 1 year MSc. I also have offers for UCL MSc and Cambridge MPhil - will likely accept UCL as the department is superior to Cambridge.

Please decline if you have a better offer. This is my last option.

Early application

They did not offer me a rolling admission after I presented them with a fully funded offer from another school. I accepted the other offer and withdrew my application to Bonn.

I got accepted today. BSc in Business and Economics from University in Sweden with good grades. GRE Q169, V163, AW 4.0. TA (econ) and RA (data handling but not econ). Recommendation letters from my TA-prof, RA-prof and one more professor whose course I've attended.
