Graduate School Admission Results

A week ago after a pair of interviews with a teacher and a grad student, I was waitlisted. If you were accepted in this program and are not interested, let them know asap, please.

Have master's degree in Anthro, research exp, and perfect fit with CUNY GC but the level of funding would be a serious issue…

No interview. I was notified that I'm on the waitlist. Finger crossed. If you already accepted other offers or won't be considering CNY anymore please let them know asap!

Emailed CUNY GC/Anthro admissions asking for an update, and got this response, "The Anthropology Program's admissions committee has made an initial round of decisions and additional decisions will be forthcoming over the next several weeks." Hoping this means I am waitlisted or longlisted but we'll see. 1a/2r/4p

Archaeology subfield

Will mostly be letting go of UC Berkeley and Cornell, for those on the waiting list. Thrilled!! If anyone knows how the work environment at Stanford is, please comment and inform if there are any red flags!

only school that's accepted me and i'm not mad

GPA is from graduate school. Four years of research and ethnographic field school experience. Multiple publications. Didn't feel like Stanford was quite the right fit for me so all good on the rejection. Good luck to everyone else and try to remember that P.h.D. program rejections can still lead to great opportunities in life if you follow whatever you're passionate about.

The email mentioned a status update on the portal. *pinching myself* California... here I come!
