Rejected after being waitlisted

Accepted off wait list, got an email from the Grad Director. I'll be accepting and am beyond excited! As a short note to anyone who had a disappointing admissions cycle I applied to 7 programs and got flat out rejected from 6, then wait listed. I know not everyone has the time or funds to do this for multiple years in a row (I wouldn't have) but please if this is your genuine aspiration don't give up, keep grinding.

Binghamton is the only option for me. If I don't get off the waitlist, I will have to stop studying philosophy for financial reasons. I really don't want to do that. If you don't plan to attend Binghamton and got accepted, please decline your offer as soon as possible. I am really anxious about my academic future.

If any of you are on WL and have other better options, I beg you to leave a spot for me. This is really important to me. I will be deeply grateful for your kindness, and will certainly repay you when the opportunity arises.

This one really hurts.

Finally rejected after not having heard anything. Unrelated, but how many people do you think, realistically, have 4+ offers from top-ten programs?

I was on the waitlist and was notified by email that they will not be going onto the waitlist for students with my area of interest. Supposedly they haven't gone onto the waitlist at all. Guys, I'm still on five waitlists and it sounds like none of them have moved at all. People really need to decline offers they will not accept and asked to be removed from waitlists they will not consider. I had three offers and declined two of them, I also asked to be removed from several waitlists which I was not considering. But there is just too much gridlock at the moment and people are going to get screwed over. Please start declining offers you won't accept, it's almost the fifteenth and there are a lot of people like me who really don't want to have to accept an offer only to get into a school I'd prefer after the fifteenth.

I did not hear anything about scholarship, philosophy was my double major (3.77), my first major was psychology (3.92).

Officially rejected (emailed to check portal). Was previously notified via email that I was not accepted or on a waitlist.

This is my top choice. If you have been admitted but decide to pursue your studies at another institution, PLEASE CONSIDER DECLINING, I would be super grateful. Wish you the best!
