Emailed by a PhD student in the lab for interview.

I received an email from the PI of my first choice

A ton of research experience and papers at top conferences (1 first author, 3 other papers). Perfect GPA at Top-5 CS school. Great SOP and Rec Letters (professors with whom I conducted research). No extracurriculars really. FAANG internship.

Applied for Lifelong Kindergarten group. Bummer

Anyone has any idea what percentage of waitlisted students are offered an admit?

We regret that we are not able to offer you admission. We received more than 1100 applications and were able to admit less than 5%. In selecting so few from a large and talented group, we must turn down many qualified applicants.

Totally expected —no portfolio traffic or interview. Good luck to everyone :)

Has anyone else not heard back yet? Their website says that all decisions are emailed on the 19th

Fully expected since no invitation to interview. Email sent at ~5 pm EST.

Interviewed and spoke to students in the group I was interested in. It's a rather competitive program, here is hoping! Good luck to everyone!
