I also got an invitation to the virtual open house. It says: "The USC Department of Economics has identified you as a very promising applicant for the PhD in Economics program". Does this mean anything at all in terms of admission to the program?

Timeline: 12.10-2.10; Track: CV+Robotics; BG: 4 non-top pubs, undergraduate; T105, G330; Details: I have touched a POI in Sep. 2022 who encouraged me to submit application and said he will take a close look. The rejection email writes there are over 2800 applicants ot the CSE department competing for dozens of positions, the competition is fierce.

Ignore the Status. Saw some acceptance results on the result page. Wonder if anyone received a waiting list or rejection notification?

Got an email to open portal. It said application was reviewed favorably. Further, "we have placed your name on a waiting list and are reserving a final decision until we know whether we will be able to make additional offers of admission to the Department of Geosciences."

To people below, did you apply stat in Booth Business School? I am confused I have no update or notification at all. Congratulations to ppl get admitted.

Submitted 1/12, Under review by department 21/12, contacted for interview 16/1, interview 18/1, PAO 31/1, conditional offer 9/2. Masters GPA is 3.83 (highest in my cohort)
