Graduate School Admission Results

Mass email and said an official mail would come shortly.

I can barely begin to express my disappointment with this program. I interviewed at my preferred lab (this involved 7 hours of scheduled meetings/interviews), and the PI told me to e-mail him with any additional questions in the next couple of weeks. A few days later, I e-mailed him with some supplementary materials and a couple of questions, and he NEVER responded, even after I sent another follow-up e-mail. This program has very little respect for its applicants and students; it seems to focus primarily on pumping out flashy inventions/toys, instead of teaching its students in a supportive research environment.

Yeah, I also contacted a bunch of professors and only a few responded but no assistanship offers.

Has anybody received any final offers for research assistantships? I have sent a bunch of mails for RA but haven't either received a reply or told that there are no open positions.

Got an email from POI. Apparently only 3 students were accepted into the cog track this year.

C'est la vie...

Got rejected off the waitlist. wasn't expecting anything else.

Was waitlisted, emailed to ask about the waitlist, received reply that the slot was filled and I would not be accepted.

Expected

Either waitlisted or rejected. I emailed the grad assistant asking when decisions would go out, and she said that initial acceptances were sent out, and they are waiting for those people to respond. She said she does not have the waitlist, so she can't tell me what my status is.
