TTPB. Well I emailed them this Tuesday, and got no reply from them. Two days later, I got a reject from them. Background: GRE:153+169+4; GPA:3.838; Double major in CS and Math, graduate in three years, one year research with project. My background might not be strong enough, especially the GRE score :(

TTPB. I emailed them using other offers as well. That was a Monday when I emailed them and was told to wait till that Friday. And on Friday I was admitted. So I guess emailing the AO does not hurt. I even think it helps a little bit in the sense that your profile may 'cut the line' so you don't have to wait so long.

The same situation as the people below-- used an offer to ask for the decision and got rejected.

TTPB who got rejected after asking multiple times: As long as you were polite, I don't think they rejected you because you asked. They had probably already decided and because you asked so many times they might have given in and sent you your decision before sending out the other rejections. If anything, you can move on and accept something else.

TTPB: Sorry for what happened to you. Did you receive any information on when other admits will be out? :) Thanks in advance

Was pushing them for a decision by mailing them a number of times in the last two days. Got a prompt rejection. I advise against doing this to anyone who thinks they have a chance of getting into some program.

TTPB : Can you tell when you got the mail? Did anyone else get admit yet?

Mediocre GPA (spent most of my time on research), Decent GRE, multiple 2nd author papers to relevant conferences; Good letter of rec from undergrad advisor. Good luck to anyone still waiting

Economics undergraduate outside the US (3.8 GPA), Master in the UK non-quantitative subject (3.8 GPA equivalent). Average GRE scores, 10 years of work experience in the private sector and policy field. Excellent recommendation letters, including one from top government official. Was offered 14K scholarship to cover tuition.

Does anyone know if the bulk of Masters acceptances are out?

TTPB: I had contacted them on March 4th (so more than a month ago) and they had said that we should probably hear something by the end of April.

Did anyone received admits yet? Did anyone contact the department to know when the result will be out
