Graduate School Admission Results

Canadian student.

I think U of T forgot to send me rejection letter. I haven't received any response yet. I'm disappointed about it. I prepared my application materials and paid application fee. Even though I'm not qualified, plz at least spend some time sending me a letter of rejection......

Applied in January although the priority deadline was December 9, 2021. JLPT N1 perfect score.

Checked the portal and the rejection notice was there. Expected given the acceptances that went out a few weeks ago. Didn't take the GRE. I formally accepted an offer from UCLA's East Asian Studies program a couple of days ago, so I'm not concerned about this result. Good luck to everyone else this application season!

Received Email to check portal. Rejected after interview, I thought it had gone well. Disappointed but not surprised. I will still be considered for my 2nd choice school at Columbia but I'm now deciding between Berkeley, Georgetown, and Johns Hopkins so it's all good.

Dear anyone who received offers from UBC, could you determine as soon as possible you could? I am deadly waiting for the result lol.

Got an unofficial admission two weeks ago, and received the final confirmation today from the department saying the official letter will be updated on the system either today or tomorrow. The ACORN shows my status as invited so far and haven't got the official letter yet.

Received an informal interview request this afternoon. I am actually thrilled, they are my 1st choice! Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best! No GRE, great LORs, 2 foreign languages, an internship in the field, study abroad in the region, related undergraduate research experience.

Received an email to check the portal today. 12K scholarship was greatly appreciated but nowhere near enough.

Ignore the waitlist. Has anybody heard back from this dept?

GPA is MA. I got an offer for another master's instead... thanks but no thanks guys

5a/1w/6r. Email to check portal. Received rejection from the PhD program and admission to the MA program with no funding. In this application cycle, two programs asked whether I agreed to consider a position at MA program if I was rejected by the PhD program. I said yes, and both programs rejected my PhD application. Applied to a joint scholarship funded by my country and Columbia University. Not sure if this affected the result.

The chair told me by email that I'm on the WL. Congrats to everyone who has been admitted! If you have a better option please reject this offer so I can get a chance at my dream program. GPA is MA.

Anyone else got an offer for MSc/MPhil in Modern South Asian Studies?
