You knew as early as Feb 3 who you wanted to admit but no let's make people wait 2 more months to tell them they were rejected. Who cares about basic decency? This is unethical and I hope you understand that, UCI Anthropology department.

finally received my rejection after emailing last week and again this morning. email to check portal. second application cycle with nothing to show.. feel like a failure.

MA in Linguistics with a 3.95 GPA. Application deadline was Jan 18, 15 minute zoom interview on Jan 30. Sent a thank-you-for-the-interview email on Jan 31 and no word from department until a rejection through the website today.

waitlisted - then rejected. Still waiting for Berkeley and NYU tho... what's going on

I have still not heard anything from the UW and I personally know another applicant in my subfield who got an official (rejection) letter almost three weeks ago, so I'm assuming that I am on a silent waitlist. DGS didn't respond to my email when I tried to ask about my status two weeks ago. Fingers crossed they'll at least give me an answer either way in the near future?

Ethnology track. International student. Sad...

Masters gpa is 4.0, three years research assistant, masters thesis. I emailed the department yesterday and heard today that I am on the waitlist. I am planning to let them know that I am accepting another offer so hopefully that will open up another spot on the waitlist.

I received an email invitation to interview on 2/7, and interviewed on 2/14. They said I would hear from them in 2 to 4 weeks. It's been about 5 weeks. Has anyone heard anything?
