Graduate School Admission Results

Applied straight out of undergrad. No published papers. Also, I'm also only 21. The average age of accepted applicants of applicants is 27, and the age range is 22-42. They probably expected more experience.

Email from program director stating that I have been recommended for admission and should expect an official admission email soon, and that I will be contacted soon to set up a phone call to discuss the program.

Applied for MSW/PhD. Waitlisted for MSW only. Average GPA and GRE + 6 years of experience in community health.

To the poster below, I too have yet to hear anything (reject/admit) so I'm guessing waitlist.

No update in mine as well. I got acceptance 2 weeks and some days now, so I am worried as well. The general grad school FAQ's say to contact the department if it has been 3 weeks since department acceptance.

I'm glad I spent nearly 4 months refining my Statement of Purpose and Personal Statement 😇

Just thought it's really funny how I get rejected by the all places that I honestly wouldn't have gone even if I were admitted lol

Anyone have the online system updated for acceptance from graduate school?

Had an interview. Did not receive a call when everyone who got accepted was getting one ! Lost all hope and had most anxious couple of days. Finally got an Email with the admit. Best moment of my life.

Got a call from them at around 9:00 am IST! Was so pleasantly surprised, I was not expecting a call at all. Got the admit within 3 days of interviewing with them. Still can't believe :D Is anyone from India attending the MIMS admission day? Best of luck to everyone! My profile: 328(167Q, 4.5 AWA), 9.38, CS undergrad from a tier 2 college in India, 2 years of relevant work exp and 2 IEEE conference papers.

To the poster below asking about Profs. PM and SS: I also applied to their labs, but haven't heard anything. This shouldn't be much consolation though cause my application wasn't strong.

Strong Work-ex, SOP, and LORs but couldn't get in because of low GPA probably.

1.5 years experience in the related field, No major publications. Outright REJECTED! Not even surprised! :D

Applied without full time work experience. No need for me to wait and re-apply because I have a full scholarship offer from another top 10 program.

Accepted to 3-year MArch with $40K departmental scholarship

Applied for NE MEng program. just had an admission interview with an NE graduate for roughly 15 minutes, asked about my motives, why MEng rather than MS/PhD, previous research experience, how to address conflicts with others (+give a personal example). then roughly 5 min Q&A. said that the admission results would release in early March.
