To the guy below, I got funding at the time I received my admission in January. But, I'm going to decline this. So, good luck to you!

To the poster below: I think someone said Northwestern has sent out all acceptances, so no news means rejection. And I saw my rejection letter via website last week though no messages were sent to me. You can search "economics northwestern" to see the post last week.

If you have an offer and don't not intend on accepting, please do so ASAP. Would be very helpful to others and also pareto optimal.

Anyone else have no idea what's going on with NYU? Seems like there's only been like five acceptances, a couple of waitlists, and a couple of rejections posted on here. Even though they already have a narrowed waitlist of 17 apparently? Were all 17 told they're on the waitlist and just didn't post? Probably not a good sign to not receive anything by now, but still bizarre and confusing.

To poster below: I emailed the department asking about a visit day. There will be one, info to come.

Email invitation to open house event on March 10-11. Includes phrasing such as "Before moving ahead with a formal offer, we on the admissions committee would like to know if you are still seriously interested in joining us" and "If, however, you already plan to join another university’s program, please let us know so we can offer your potential slot to a deserving candidate on our waiting list." Instructs to reply about interest in being offered admission and whether the open house is of interest.

TPB: In the last year that JHU did interviews (2018), there were several posters who logged acceptances and noted that they did not interview. One poster who interviewed wrote that the interview was mostly about their math background. My takeaway from that is that Hopkins interviews candidates who they want to admit but have questions about. I also didn't get an interview request, but I am holding out hope!

Hello, did any one hear from them? Please post below. Also if you got an offer from them, how many plan to reject? Kindly, inform.

No news from Maryland yet. No rejection, no waitlist. Does this mean an implicit rejection for sure?

The email read "We regret to inform you that we will be unable to offer you admission. We received a high number of quality applications this year which made the admission and decision process very competitive. We wish you all the best in your continuing studies and career."

TPB: They emailed "towards the end of March". Everything could be interpreted as "towards the end of March" (e.g. 14th March). I hope you are right about that but unfortunately I have received this email including this expression.

Where should I go?
