Computer Science, Columbia College Interviewed on Feb 13th. Rank 1/149, Tier-1 University of China (985/211), major in Software Engineering as an undergraduate. NLP track. 3 tier-1 conference papers under review. (Now all got rejected, sad). Awarded with National Prize (Top 3/139) and Supreme Honor for undergraduates (Top 20/4000). 3 strong LoRs. Have been rejected by CMU (MLT & MSCS), Stanford (MSCS), UIUC (MSCS), Berkeley (MSCS), UW(PhD), extremely desperate but finally 1st AD from Columbia!!

Computer Science - PHD Track, The University of British Columbia As stated in the previous post, this program seems only to accept students from outside North America and... you know, I am an UBC student... If you are a North American student, remember DONT TICK THAT BOX...

Political Science, The University of British Columbia American applicant. Offered a TA/RA position for two semesters paying ~$11,500 and assumed to be eligible for the international tuition award. My first choice - excited!

Computer Science, Columbia College TTPB, Second-time applicant here. Even I had my interview on 14th March and one of my recommenders got a verification email at some point. Judging by the number of admits and the timeline, I think it's time to expect some rejects unless the recently admitted student decline the admit. They doled out a handful of rejects on 23rd March last year but the admits started rolling out from 23rd Feb. Looking at this year's trend, I think rejects should start flowing in the last week of March.
