Graduate School Admission Results

I received a waitlist email today just before noon. Super nervous about another month of waiting but I am grateful that it at least was not a rejection. Fingers crossed it works out!

I've been checking these results pages every day and getting bummed I didn't hear anything. Got my email at 1:30 p.m. today saying I'd been recommended for admission. Emails are still going out. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear something.

I just got the email said I was on the waitlist. Anyone know the chance to get off the waitlist???

It is with regret that we write to inform you that you have not been accepted for graduate study at the University of California, Berkeley. The materials you submitted with your application have been carefully reviewed by the admissions committee, but we are unable to offer you admission. The UC Berkeley campus has a strict enrollment ceiling, and we are thus very limited in the number of new students we may admit each year. The admissions committee has the difficult task of selecting students with the strongest overall records from a large pool of well-qualified applicants. Unfortunately, this may result in not being able to accept many applicants who are capable of excellent academic work. We appreciate the interest you have shown in UC Berkeley and wish you success in achieving your academic goals.

Followed up with my PI who replied saying I hadn't been accepted. Apparently only 4 intl students would be accepted into EPSM, just thought I'd put this here.

Rejected for their PhD program but was recommended for their 9 month MEng program with scholarships lined up. I got into MIT, so I was surprised about the results. Good luck to everyone else!

To the Berkeley post below, could you please share more information about the admission? Fundings, TA or RA?

Suggested to switch application to MEng. For $50k/yr and no jobs?

Sad, but got accepted to Michigan with big scholarship (my #1 choice)

To everyone below regarding this program, I contacted a professor I'd interviewed with regarding my application and was informed that at this point, there is an incredibly slim chance of anyone else receiving an offer. So yes, at this point if you haven't received an offer, even if you're waitlisted you're likely going to be rejected. Good luck to everyone who got in!!

Got a call at 10 AM today Sunday, so unexpected!

Canadian applicant. No significant research or publications. Worth a try, I guess. All the best to those who got in!
