I am a US student. A professor contacted me early this week about interviewing for a position in his lab. However, I have declined the interview because I already have committed to a PhD program at Georgia Tech. Subsequently, I withdrew my application from University of Maryland. I hope another PhD applicant at University of Maryland gets an offer. Good luck!

International student with undergrad degree from the US. 2 publications (one outside of CS, one for a data science workshop), 2 years of undergrad AI research, 2.5 years of work experience as a software/machine learning engineer. Received notification on email to check portal, and a decision letter was there.

Took them from Dec to May to make their decision. They had already sent offers in Feb and kept all other applicants until May without saying anything about their application status.

Unfortunately, we did not have the space to admit you for 2023. The fact that you were on our waiting list speaks to the high qualities you had as an applicant. (I am the post below) Official offer came 3am. Got off waitlist. Meeting with another advisor this Wednesday, and got recommended on Thursday. Funding came yesterday. Appreciate it!
