applied from the u.s. with a few years of experience (within libraries, records management, and archives). honestly, i did not see this acceptance coming but i am beyond excited!

Noting unexpected here but about time, I guess.

Already committed to Georgia Tech MS CS, so this reject does not matter that much. But feel uncomfortable that they made people wait for more than half a year just for a reject.

Very excited! Already committed to another school, will think about where I should go now!

Generic Rejection Message from UBC, come on mate, if this had to be done, you could've told us in April itself. Had hopes on this one, but welp.

Honestly, UBC, if you want to reject an application, you should let the applicant know as early as possible. I could have applied for the study permit a month ago for another university but was waiting for this decision, it turns out, for no reason.

Was waitlisted a few weeks ago and haven't heard back. Is anyone else in the same shoes? Any color on what probabilities and/or timeline looks like?

Canadian Applicant - no specific reason given. Pretty sad, but oh well
