Email from Graduate chair, apologizing that it took so long, official offer to come Monday. I was surprised it took so long and assumed I was rejected, but it seems they just had many applications this year. Applied for AMO Exp. Low PGRE and no pubs but strong letters from well known profs. 3 years of AMO exp at home institution (top 25) and 1 summer of BEC exp at a top 5.

(Revised post) I am on a wait list (HEP-Th). I received an official e-mail stating the waitlist from the physics department on Feb. 22, 2016. Please decline NYU's offer ASAP if you have got other good offers! This is my last chance......

Just got an email today, so I guess they're still sending some out! Only other acceptance has been UCLA (my undergrad), so this was verrrrry surprising. Almost waiting for them to say it was a mistake! Very little true research experience in undergrad, but have been working as a physicist/engineer at a tech company since June 2015.

Has anyone heard from UNC? Have they sent out offers?

Contacted by department chair saying the official acceptance would come Monday. was contacted by POI a few hours later. Never inquired about application status, but I did contact POI about my interest a month ago

To the Kentucky post below. Did you inquire about your status?? I emailed them but got no reply. Does it mean I am rejected? Can you please share your scores and field of interest??

If you have got acceptance and don't want to attend please decline ASAP. This might be the only chance for many people to get in PhD program. Thanks!

Rejected via letter attached to email. 943 applicants, 50 admits. I thought I stood a chance, but fuck no I guess.

Just got my funding letter on 3/4. $34k (9 months) for the first year year. $30k for upcoming years.
