Data Science, New York University 5yrs SWE, 2yrs data engineer, 4+ yrs data-related startup founder (backed by VCs), current CTO at other startup, BS in CS from outside, MS in SWE from California (GPA 3.7), one journal author, recommendations from current data scientist at Amazon, Google. SOP focused on data visualization. It was too long to see the rejection. Was not expect to admit and I already have admission at Parsons and Pratt. I think data science is not fit for me. Data Science, New York University TPB: LMAO. absolutely right brother. What I don't get is that other departments at NYU are giving out results, so what is the problem with data science department. And what happened to the results coming out on and around 18 Apr, why send out email when you will not honor the commitment. I have only couple of days till I can wait for the result, otherwise I'll just go with other univ. After this is over, I would need mental health analysis.

Music Composition, City University Of New York (CUNY) I wrote to the department directly on April 17th. The department did not respond, but on April 21st I received an automated email telling me that a decision had been made and to check the portal. I am not convinced that my application was ever considered. The admissions department received GRE scores and official transcripts electronically late November but did not update my account until late February when I noticed that they were listed as incomplete in the portal. I emailed admissions and they were able to find them in the system and updated my application. I only double checked after reading a similar story on Grad Cafe earlier that day.

English Education, New York University (NYU) - Steinhardt I was accepted 18 days after the deadline! Very grateful but only offered $7,500 in scholarship and $3,000 in work study. I will likely choose CUNY City College or CUNY Queens for a more affordable option.

Data Science, New York University ( NYU) I don't understand how it is taking so long! It is painful to wait this long especially the other schools have released offers and are waiting for our decisions. I think it is irresponsible on NYU's part to make us wait this long!
