Graduate School Admission Results

Completely unexpected considering how strong my profile was for the program. My application video on youtube was equally good as compared to my application.

To the questions below: Waited for 7 weeks. Rejected for AES. Cumulatively and barely an A-student, nothing beyond.

Thanks for the useful information. I was just curious. I know in previous years they used to send out interviews, maybe they curbed that this year. Doesn't matter, I'm all cinema and film theory; this is a bad fit for me If I do somehow get in, you can count on me rejecting the offer. Hope it all works out for you.

UCLA Masters candidate who responded to my inquiry: thank you for that info! It’s so strange to have heard absolutely nothing at this point in time, and April 20th seems very late...oh well, we can only wait. I hope you get good news, best of luck! If any PhD candidates have additional info about hearing from the program, I would greatly appreciate it.

Offered SSHRC but stronger offer elsewhere, declined 08/04/2015 - if you're waitlisted for admission and/or SSHRC give it a few more days before you give up!
