TPB: Yes, I also received that e-mail maybe 15 minutes ago. I'm sadly counting that one as an implicit rejection. The letter is not available yet, though.

I received this a couple of minutes ago: Admission decisions for the Stanford Economics PhD program will be posted in the online application system beginning January 12 and continue to be posted throughout the day. Please go to the bottom of your "Activity "page in the application system to find your decision letter. Please do not contact us directly regarding decision outcomes, but rather wait for your decision letter to load during the day on Jan. 12. Did everyone receive this? (i.e., is this an implicit rejection?)

Received an email stating decisions will be posted on the applications portal on January 12.

To the previous post: yes, the letter was attached to the email they sent me.

To the fellow who was waitlisted: Where did you receive this "letter"? Via email?

They sent a letter saying that they admitted significantly fewer and waitlisted significantly more students than usual, to be conservative.

I was accepted and I'm not American (EU)

Congrats guys! All American admits so far. Was it an email notification to go to the portal or your portal is not updated yet?

I also applied and haven't heard anything back, do you have any idea why? I suppose rejections come later :(

Did not apply for Knight-Hennessy.

TPB: congratulations! Could you please share if you applied to any scholarship (Knight-Hennesy, for example).

I believe this admission is part of Stanford's policy of admitting some students early (last year, Stanford admitted students in January as well)
