Received a generic rejection email from the department

My POI is under affective science area. I had an informal interview with him, and he told me that it is difficult to apply straight out of college for psychology PhD (although I had 3 years of undergrad research experience and one of my PIs is very famous + co-authorship on a very high IF journal + two first-authorships in review/prep). Hope this info is useful for future applicants, and all the best for others!

I'm not the OP with an invite, but I am guessing that all invites haven't been sent out yet. It has only been like an hour since the first invite was posted here, and usually it takes a couple hours for all invites to be sent out, especially if coming from a POI. The waiting game is tough lol but we'll know soon. Nice job to everyone who has received an invite so far!

Received an email from the Immunology admissions chair. Formal invitation letter will be sent soon.

Haven't heard anything either but don't lose hope just yet! Some years interviews went out by now but for others (2020, 2018, 2013) it was Jan 17-19 and there's a pandemic now. At least that's what I'm holding on to lol. Best of luck everyone!
