Got mail to check decision on you.usc portal. The portal displayed academically eligible.

Just got an email saying I have been waitlisted.

Not feeling bummed about it because the program did not seem appealing to me as a data scientist. Good luck to those who got in.

Just received an email saying they have made their decisions and that I have been wait listed. I should receive a decision by end of May. People who have already received offers, when is the deadline for you to accept it? And for people who are going to decline it could you please reject it as soon as possible. Would greatly help people like us!

Graduated at UIUC with a B.S. in Computer Engineering degree focusing on mostly CS courses. Worked at a small tech startup for a couple of years before applying for this program. Will continue to work while enrolling in classes.

To the posters below: Wait, maybe I didn't do my homework right. Isn't NYU better ranked? Why were you or the guy admitted to Columbia waiting for USF? I know it's a great school, but the other ones are top.

They rejected my application, because of low GRE score, and non-Computer Science background. The Assistant Professor, who encouraged me to apply convinced the committee to give me M.S. admission with RA. I declined his offer because a I have to pay a part of the tuition fee.

It's weird to get a reject. Accepted at Columbia and Northwestern. I don't know how the system works hahaha

The person who has been waitlisted (not the one who already got into his top choice of program), what is your profile? I have also been waitlisted. I have GPA (8.32/10) with 2 research papers in journals. Multiple projects and 1.5 years work-ex.

Heard about the story that Rochester(another program) likes to put hundreds of people on the wait list and only less than 5% on this list will finally been admitted. Hope I will have best luck to get in.
