BSc in Mechanical Engineering (from a reputed university of Bangladesh) TOEFL : 108 (R 29 L 30 S 23 W 26) 3 Q1 journal publications and 3 conference papers (all international, presented in 1) Got a reply from a potential PI. Talked with him in a zoom interview. Received the email of acceptance at 7:22 PM EST.

Not waitlist. Did anyone hear from DMSE? This year is much later than the previous year.

Ignore the interview. I am wondering if anyone hear anything from MIT EECS (applied to EE)? It's so silent and I didn't receive any interview/anything.

Generic rejection mail. Unexpected and shocked! I interviewed with them in early January. Maybe because of less research work (1 year) in the field I applied in. Profile: 1 Publication in progress, 4 Research Experiences (1 full year experience), Class Rank 1, Lot of Community Services and Social Work, TA for 2 courses. Wish you all the prospective candidates best of luck.

3 years of research experience. 1 publication in progress. Multiple poster awards and research scholarships.

Generic rejection email. Was expecting this, congrats to everyone who got in!! Did around 3 years of research with 2 publications from it, also a few presentation awards and other ECs. I don't think my essays were that strong and also my grades in my ChemE coursework were subpar. Good luck to all!

Got the call today! Two weeks after the interview. Said letter coming within a day or two. Stats: 3 yrs of extensive research, 6 publications (incl. journal articles, conference proceedings and book chapters) and 1 manuscript under progress.
