Physics, City University Of New York (CUNY) Was interviewed for CME/CMT, as part of a shortlist (As described by interviewer). Interview went well - will be recommended to the admissions committee by interviewer, but I am not sure if that means I am in.

Earth And Environmental Sciences (EES) (Geography), City University Of New York (CUNY) Same message as several others: often admit people from the waitlist, record number of applications, far fewer spots than normal, will notify if space becomes available by 4/15. I didn't have strong contact with any potential advisors before applying.

Urban Education, City University Of New York (CUNY) I emailed on 2/05 about being a finalist in the program. Interviewed with a graduate committee member on 02/08 and a doctoral student on 02/09. Both went amazing. The committee member meeting lasted well over an hour and she seemed really impressed and kept checking to see if I would accept admission. The interview with the doctoral student went even better than I hoped. He said I was number one on his list and he really wanted to be colleagues with me. Haven't heard anything back yet, so I am super nervous. Doesn't help that they received almost 200 apps this year for less than 10 spots.
