Graduate School Admission Results

Not surprised. No Int'l work exp and low GRE scores.

Thrilled as it was my dream! But no fellowship support, and funding is key for me so will look at what other schools have got to offer..

Has anyone not yet heard from the University of Maryland. Still waiting on an acceptance or a decline but haven't gotten any emails and there's nothing on my portal.

Good to know I'll have somewhere to go :) accepted after interview last week. There's one faculty I'd really like to work with, it's a solid school that I'll be happy to go to. Holding out on other the other 6/12 applications, after 5 denials and one acceptance. Have 2 nth author papers, corresponded briefly with a faculty at UMD (like 2-3 emails) about a 1st author paper I'm writing. Pretty happy!

Any news out there? Has anyone else received notifications/responses from the department?

AMO. TA/RA Dean's fellowship. 4 research experiences plus exchange study at UC Berkeley, no publications. I was almost depressed and was planning for my gap year, then I received this offer.

For any other UMD people accepted, I just got an email saying that they are reviewing my application for financial aid and will send out offers mid-March. Additionally, they mention applying for GA positions which you can do even if you don't accept.

To the post below, I got an email stating that I have not been offered admission for MS (Thesis) due to lack of seats. However, they have suggested me to apply for MEng course at UMD as they believe it's a viable option.

The status changed to "Under Graduate School Review" and the decision was available a couple of hours later. There was no email notification. Good luck to everyone!

This program is my first choice; I need some creative funding ideas, though!

FYI: I posted that I had been rejected from UMD's program, but I misread the email and it was from Michigan. All this thesis reading is getting to my head...Anyways. I have now posted my Michigan rejection, but still have no word from UMD

Yes there were interviews. Mine was on 3/2/17, offer letter sent 9/2/17. I applied by the 6/1/17 deadline.

Anyone heard from them ? More than a month passed after the interview, should I assume implicit rejection ?

Applied December 2016, no news for five months. Took another exam and boosted the score, and sent them the new score. Got a interview invitation on May 17th, got accepted yesterday.
