One single author Paper, 3 years research, 2 years industry experience, strong SOP. Weak recommendation I think.

Hello Guys, I just wanted to ask if any international students is having pending items in their application portal. During the application process at ASU, there was nowhere to upload academic transcripts, I reached out to the department and was told to send my transcripts to a separate email. now that I've completed and submitted my application, I have had pending items on my application page for 3 weeks now, it has not been done. I have reached to the department again, and have had no response

Informal interview with PI. The invitation was sent to me on Dec 21st.

Reached out by advisor I listed on SoP.

Well, I did not submit my GRE (The AW section is low). I am from a Top 20 - Top 30 U.S. university and haven't published any papers. I had two research experiences which are interdisciplinary ( not cs focused ) and TA experiences for two High-level CS courses. I guess the professors who wrote me LORs helped a lot in my application. Appreciate their efforts.

Accepted on December 20. Awarded a Seminary Fellowship on January 8!

103 TOEFL. No internships. Published paper at unknown conference.

masters, 2 presentations, 1 year research experience in a professional research org. My GPA looks lower converted to the American scale. Spoke with another PI before applying.

Received positive replies from two professors before applying. They said this year has unusually strong applicant pool
