ML theory, 3.7 GPA, 2 publications under review

Area: Robotics/AI. Rejected after interview.

Received an email saying "A decision has been made regarding your admission to the University of California, Berkeley." No interview.

No GRE. No papers. One year of research in graph neural networks. Top 20 undergrad in the US. Expected! Should've applied to MEng. Next year, I guess.

Failure fails everyday

Got into other top MS programs so I'm not quite sure what they were looking for but I wasn't it.

Should have applied to the MS/PhD program. This is unfortunate.

Emailed to check portal. Area: AI/Theory. Interviewed in January. GPA 3.6. Two first-authored pubs on top Data Mining, AI conferences in 2020. Second try for Berkeley after 3 years. Congrats to those who got in. Good look to everyone else.
