Graduate School Admission Results

Solid GRE scores, research for 5 years, undergrad and first masters done at CMU with over 3.7 GPA. Very disappointed.

Offer revocation. WHAT. IS .THIS.

I got a reject email from the graduate program director this morning. Expected result, but feel so bad.

Thanks CMU. This was a really invaluable, incomparable experience. How can I ever thank you for your kindness.

Did anyone have any interviews with their POI for MSCS?

MLT will likely be released later just like the other master's degree admissions. A post below said MSCS and MCDS are both around mid-late Feb. It's likely MLT is the same.

International Applicants – have patience, don't lose hope. Most of the posts below are either US citizens or have their UG degrees of an American university. Speaking strictly in terms of logistics, it's easier for universities to take these students as PhD candidates than it is for them to take international students. So hang in there. I know the nights are sleepless and life is not as much fun, but you will do great.

To the poster below (who talked to the admissions office) : Are you saying that for the general CS PhD program both the rejections / acceptances are out? Did you get an official rejection email?

From THU, rejected by MSCS, but get admitted to MCDS. No publication, good GPA, GRE and TOEFL.

My fourth reject. I was rejected directly without receiving an acceptance email.

MSAII reject. Only 35 seats apparently.

Accepted without interview. International (not US), 4-year research experience including 1-year undergraduate researcher. Low English skills, but strong LOR, high GPA, five 1-author pub., one international conference presentation, several domestic patents. Good luck for everyone!
