Following the guy below "The number of admission offers available at Princeton for entering graduate students is extremely limited, and we cannot offer admission to all applicants who are well qualified. East Asian Studies, University of Hawaii at Manoa Just received an email from the department granting me $10k merit-based funding for the year. Decent, considering my late application to the program. I am out of state though, so I am debating a deferment for a year to establish in state tuition.

South Asian And Southeast Asian Studies, Berkeley College-New York UC Berkeley charges $105 as its application fee. The least it could do is inform about admission results via email rather than randomly chancing upon it while checking the portal.

East Asian Languages And Cultures, Harvard University Email from POI. This is my top choice, which is really really sad... My POI is a super kind AP. We are both doing early modern Japanese literature(1603-1868) and talked a lot via email, but still got rejected. The professor said they got nearly 160 applications this year while only 13 spots are available. Anyway, best wishes to the admitted ones.
