To the Columbia poster who says all decisions were already made, I found there are only three posts saying they are accepted (2 unofficially and 1 officially). Are there only few spots for the Columbia CS PhD program?

When will Columbia and UCI release decisions for software systems tracks. Been waiting on them for quite sometime and need to make a decision soon.rnrnAnyone here like me ?

Citizen from PRC. One international internship, one research paper submitted during the time of application. Some projects during undergrad. Application submitted in early November. Said nothing about track.

Tier one college in India (Computer Engineering). One research paper published in a reputed conference on ML. One research intern at a university in the USA. One corporate internship experience as a Software Engineer. AI Summer School. Speaker at an international Computational Intelligence conference held in South America. Applied to 6 schools (3 USA, 3 Canada), rejected from all of them for FALL 2019 (Masters in CS).

I also applied after the Feb 15th deadline and haven't heard back yet

How do you know when "late" for an admissions decision is a bit too late? When should I contact the department about my application status?
