TTPB : I gave my digital interview on Feb 21 st.. later one of my recommenders got verification email.. I haven't heard anything from them.. I emailed them regarding the status .. I got a reply like " Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an exact date of when your application decision will be available nor can we expedite the application review process. Applications are reviewed by a small admissions committee. The review process typically requires 6-8 weeks after your application is completed online for various reasons. Be assured, you will be notified of the result of your application review as soon as possible electronically."

Man! I still haven't heard back. What is taking so long? My application deadline was Dec 15. It's been HALF A DAMN YEAR!

I had an interview with a prof today and will have one tomorrow. Got my ugrad in Industrial Eng, and I am a master student at the math department (at UBC)

Can help me understand what is the type of questions asked in the interview?

No research papers, no research internships. As per Columbia's Ivy standards, I deserve this.

4th Reject. Dejected. :(. 9.1gpa 323 170Q. Data science internship. 4-5ML projects

I have to accept/reject by 5th May along with $1000 if I accept the offer. Have they given you a date by which they will get back to you? Guys, can you please advise me on the Post Study work permit. This program is only for 10 months so that means we get a work permit for only 10 months? That will be less than a year's work experience making us ineligible for certain streams of permanent residence. Has anybody got any information regarding this? Also the provincial nominee program for BC has International Post Graduate stream which doesn't require a job offer but the degree must be from pure science natural science IT computer maths stats etc. I looked at this list and found it strange that MDS program isn't listed in it though it's a math and stat program. I will appreciate any help and information!

Been working for 8 years as a programmer. Apparently the decision was made on April 5, but I received the email on April 12. Good luck to the rest of the applicants.

Contacted and talked with a POI in November. Interviewed with another POI in January and was admitted for co-supervision between the two :)

Still waiting to hear back from other schools

I have to come to terms to the fact that they will never answer us.. We will be stuck in this limbo forever
