Graduate School Admission Results

I think power and energy group at UMich have no money for funding. This is because Umich cannot release results of admission.

So grateful!!! I got rejected last year lol.

To the guys waiting: Don't lose hope. Although I just accepted the offer last week, I guess the Universities with a weak commettie (POI could take us in under his own decisoin), have not send the rejections out because the students get accepted would probably decline the offer. Therefore, you guys are not rejected because the POIs are still waiting for ones' decisions of whether accepting or rejecting the offer. If rejected, here comes your chances!!

I am writing to ask about Umich PhD results. Can it be the case that the mechanical department has released the decisions and those who are accepted are not aware of this forum? Hence, they are not updating. Or really the admission committee has not released any decisions?

TTPB: Which specialization did you guys (who didn't hear anything) applied to?

The University of Michigan Data Science Master's admissions committee has carefully considered your application and noted your substantial academic achievements. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer you admission to our program. This year's applicant pool was unprecedented both in size and quality. Although we ideally would like to admit more applicants, our resource limitations required us to make very difficult and surely imperfect decisions.

Worst email I've seen in my whole life, put some respect

I got standard mail of rejection, did not submit GRE, 6 months Internship in ML field.

To the post about Michigan Electrical PhD below me, I am in the same boat as you. No idea if to take the silence as rejection or not

Applied by the deadline (15 Dec). Still no communication from the department or the profs. on the application status. Can anyone tell what is this supposed to mean? Is it a rejection?

Ignore waitlist: Are all the decisions regarding the PhD program sent or are people still waiting?

1 year ML/robotics research experience, no publications, no internships, undergrad mechE degree with some cs experience, 2 /3of my LoR writers oversaw my robotics projects

I wonder if they place all rejection into waitlist.
