Graduate School Admission Results

Accepted, still waiting to hear on funding/assistantship.

Dream program. WL by email. If you are accepted and planning on declining, please consider declining quickly; it would really relieve a lot of stress for me.

Received an email from the department that read: "Thank you for applying to UNH Department of English's PhD program in Composition Studies. The Covid-19 pandemic has created a number of unforeseen circumstances, and as a result, the faculty have made the difficult decision not to admit doctoral students into the program for this coming year (Fall 2021)." They encouraged me to apply again, and informed me that they will be accepting applications for Fall '22. I have already been offered admission/funding to other programs for Fall '21, so I will not be reapplying. They did say that they will be refunding the application fee.

Generic Letter in mail, Pretty bad experience with this program, Old fashion/closed minded. They lead you on following the interview.

Rejected - as expected, since we didn't hear a thing until now.rnrn"Dear [NAME],rnrnThe Graduate Admissions Committee of the Department of Music has reviewed your application for admission to our graduate program. I regret to report that the department did not admit you to the program.rnrnAs I am sure you know, the number of applicants for graduate study far exceeds the number of those whom we can admit: Each year many strong candidates in all fields must be turned down. Would love my $125 back of course, but in some ways this generic email was priceless :')

Waitlisted at my top choice, not mad. Someone deny acceptance please :P
