Informal acceptance from department earlier this week and just received official school letter!

Transportation track notified by email that official letter will come in 2 weeks

A professor called me out of the blue to admit me, although unofficially! I'm excited, good luck to everyone still waiting!

I contacted the department and they told me that they are not accepting any more applicants. Official letter will come to portal soon.

Any idea when Berkeley is going to send out the decisions? I basically got rejected from all the colleges I applied to so it's freaking shit. But still want to know what Berkeley will say.

TTPB: I just turned down admission to the three-year MLA at Berkeley, hopefully the waitlist starts moving soon!

Got a 'Decision to Admit' email a day after the waitlist email. My concentration is Fluids & Ocean Engineering. Financial support not guaranteed, have to search for a RA position.

Hey, anyone got interviewed or got in contact with any professors in the fluids field ?? anyone heard from Prof. Marcus, Prof. Shadden or prof Alam ??

Ended up emailing the department to check on my application. They informed me that I was waitlisted and apologized for the lack of communication. This is in line with my experience communicating with the department thus far, and I'll be giving up my space on the waitlist.

TTPB: I think they don't inform about the waitlist. The applicants who still haven't received a decision might be automatically on the waitlist. If the previous posts are true, there might be some applicants already get rejected?

Got a warm but standardized letter (presumably sent to all rejected interviewees) saying that I'm qualified, I hope our paths cross-- that kind of vibe. Interview, as other said, was only 10-15 mins.

Ignore the waitlist: Did anybody receive an email stating that they are on the waitlist?
