Graduate School Admission Results

Got an email from the school that said 'This email is to inform you that there has been a change in the status of this application. You can log into UCL's portal at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/portico to view your new application status.' and the portal showed 'Unsuccessful'. Bye bye London

Are all admissions out? By now, no news = rejected?

For those who have been admitted by Cambridge, have you accepted the offer ? Mine still says "Under Review". - does it mean I am waitlisted ? ( applied by the Jan deadline)

TPB: I also haven't heard any information about funding. I thought Dr. Castillo said that they were going to send funding info early this week.

Is anyone still waiting to hear back from MAPSS, Economics Concentration (direct application, 4 Jan deadline)? I saw some were admitted, some rejected, and I'm still waiting...

Hi, please refrain from applying to this program. The director is extremely arrogant and capricious. My degree was taught in English and from their department statement about English requirements, I thought I can be waived from a test. After submitting my application, I was told that students who meet other four reqreuiments can be considered for funding while my case is ineligible. Why don't you state it clearly??? After I requested for an alternative solution, the director (Murat Munkin) replied that they will consider my application as is and ask me to take a formal test if I have been funded. Then this week he told me that I'm admitted but I should provide them with a satisfied test score before funding can be considered. I am confused why things happening disconform to what he said one month ago. I guessed he forgot it, so I simply reminded him of his words. Then he told me in five minutes that my application was decided to be not funded. Ahahahah, extremely interesting to learn. Person who went back on his words made a decision in five minutes to punish an applicant who mentionted his promise. Wow, so arrogant so capricious! Do they still want to run this program??? Seem have no humanity and mercy. And the program dictor can decide everything about admission based on his mind and moods. Do they indeed have a committee???

Looks like everyone and their mother got waitlisted? I wonder how long the wait list is.

Email to check the website. However, when I found that there was a lot of admitted and waitlist before, I already knew that I was rejected. Wish who get offer best!

For those of us that aren't hip.. what does owo mean?

"Thank you for your application to our Ph.D. program in economics. Your application is strong, but the pool of about 652 applicants from over 70 countries for admissions to our program in the fall of 2020 is highly competitive. Therefore the admissions committee has decided not to admit you at this time, but to place you on our waitlist for admissions. We will contact you immediately if the situation changes so that we can offer you admissions." Guys please decline if you have better options. I don't have offers at all. Only waitlists. I'm desperate!!!! UPenn is my top choice.
