Physics And Astronomy, University Of Maine Grad GPA. Two line boiler plate email from grad coordinator, didn't even have my name on it. No interview. Both Astro profs are retiring (my field), but W.E., it is UMaine, a MS physics degree with a 3.91, who are they looking for?

"We received over 50 applications in total, almost all from students with outstanding academic records, of which we were allowed to enter only three into the scholarship competition. Yours was not one of the three selected and we have no other source of funding for PhD students not resident in the UK."

Physics, University Of Toronto Ignore waitlist. Have any international students who applied to Toronto heard back from them at all? I emailed them and they replied that they have started accepting or rejecting domestic applicant since Jan but will consider international applicants till mid to late March. Is this true or a soft rejection?
