HEP-th. Research experience for more than 3 years. Currently doing a Masters at a top UK university, 2 papers, 990 Physics GRE. Finally, the wait is over! This is my second year applying and this year also had to see a few rejections till now. For those who are still waiting, don't lose hope. For first-time applicants who have not been accepted yet, don't give up. Find an opportunity (may be a really good masters program place or a project) where you can keep on learning and working in the field of your interest so that you come back with a better profile the next time.

Official rejection email upon nagging those inconsiderate assh0les about getting back to me cause I was putting my life on hold for them.

Does anyone know what exactly is going on with UCSB? Is everyone who hasn't heard back by now rejected?

Rejected. Kinda surprised since I considered it a safety? Goes to show how much a bloodbath this cycle is for Astro students. I have other offers at least.
