Physics, Imperial College London Thank you for your application to study Physics Research (PhD) at Imperial College London. Unfortunately, on this occasion, we regret to inform you that we are unable to make you an offer.
Every application received is carefully reviewed and selection for entry is based on a holistic review of all the material information available from your application, along with your performance in any selection steps (where these apply). The following feedback has been provided for your application:
Unfortunately, although your application meets our requirements, competition for places on your chosen programme is extremely high so we have been unable to offer you a place this year.
We appreciate that this decision may be disappointing and it is regrettable that due to the level of competition for places that many excellent applicants cannot be made offers for study.
Imperial College London appreciates the time that you invested in your application and your expression of interest in studying with us.
We wish you every success in your future endeavours.

Physics, University Of Washington HEP-th. Research experience for more than 3 years. Currently doing a Masters at a top UK university, 2 papers, 990 Physics GRE. Finally, the wait is over! This is my second year applying and this year also had to see a few rejections till now. For those who are still waiting, don't lose hope. For first-time applicants who have not been accepted yet, don't give up. Find an opportunity (may be a really good masters program place or a project) where you can keep on learning and working in the field of your interest so that you come back with a better profile the next time.
