No GRE (not required). No email, just checked the portal and had a decision as of today. Standard rejection letter.

To the person asking about updates on NYU: I posted about the interview -- I had my interview about two weeks ago, and I'm still waiting to hear back on a decision. They didn't give me an exact timeline for the decision, just that it would take a couple of weeks. This is my second time applying to NYU American Studies. The first time I didn't get an interview. I don't know if they are doing staggered interviews, but what I do know is that they are notorious for taking a long time to send out rejection letters. The first time, I didn't hear back until April 1, after sending out multiple emails asking for a decision. The only reason I knew I had been rejected back then was because I saw someone post on social media that they had been accepted into the program.

IGNORE INTERVIEW RESULTS - I am posting to see if anyone has heard about NYU American studies. I saw one post that someone had an interview, but wondering if all hope has been lost if I haven't been contacted for interview. PLEASE if anyone had insignt let me know🙏🏼

IGNORE Interview. Has anyone heard yet about American Studies at Yale? Based on previous years, it might still be too early but I'm growing really anxious about it

Standard rejection email, met with appropriate people in the fall, meetings made me feel like the program was very in demand and they had no desire to make a good impression or make me feel welcomed or valued. GPA from MA.
